Dearly beloved, I know grief can feel so dark and unhealable... the pain of loss unbearable. I wrote “Mourning Glory" to provide a glimmer of light—to shine even the faintest ray of comfort, hope, and strength into your grief and life today.

Each day of "Mourning Glory" contains:

  • A WORD: From God’s Word, related to grief, helping you see a bigger story and God’s great love
  • A SONG: To soothe and encourage your heart, mind, and soul
  • A PRAYER: Of lament, formed by the day’s Scriptures, helping connect your heart to God’s
  • A QUESTION: To ponder, lifting your thoughts and heart to God’s goodness, kindness, and love for you

Welcome, friend.

I’m Laurie—a fellow soul who has experienced heartbreaking grief and loss, but who also discovered even greater grace and love along the way.

Years ago, as I journeyed through isolating grief, I realized I wasn't alone—a very kind and generous God was with me. And his Word became a primary way he would speak to me. That's why I want to help open God's Word to you: I believe God's gracious love and the life-changing truth of Scripture can make all the difference in your grief and loss, too.

Kind words...

“Laurie has that rare capacity to hold grief and honor hope simultaneously.... I don't know of a better companion for those who remain in pain."

- Dr. "Chaplain Eva" Bleeker, Chair of Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care, Denver Seminary

“When I couldn't see God's goodness through the deep fog of grief, Laurie declared the truth I couldn't yet and became a pinpoint of hope in my story."

- MORGAN N., Mother of Baylee Hope in heaven

“Laurie is like a watchwoman.... She sees God's light shining forth and his goodness breaking in and invites others to see it, too, which brings restoration and healing."

- Rev. Amanda Gerber, DEACON AND Care Pastor, International Anglican Church
